Three Butterflies

Diving on a coral reef is like entering a new world. I’ve done more than 3,000 dives, in different parts of the world, and I’be been always passionated by the scenarios I find underwater. In this photo, taken in Palau, I aimed to portray the beautiful colors of three butterflyfish and the unique shapes of the corals in the region. The clarity of the blue water, enhanced by the sun’s rays in the background, highlights the silhouette of the reef. This photo was taken during a lovely dive in calm seas late afternoon.
